At S&T Group, we don't believe in Sales and Marketing as separate departments within a company. It's only by merging Marketing and Sales strategies that we can achieve effective and efficient sales results. Discover a range of Smarketing tips from S&T Group below.
Sales can be compared to creating a home: you can have a house built, but you may never truly feel at home in it. Ultimately, it’s the combination of many factors – the environment, the style, the location, and much more – that determines whether you truly feel at home or not.
The same goes for sales: you need to understand your target audience first before starting any sales activities.

Tip 1: Know Your Target Audience/Buyer!
I often repeat this during my training: you don't sell to an organization, you sell to people with emotions, dreams, and goals. First, get to know the contact person you're doing business with, understand what they need, and then help them with the products or services you offer. Because if you sell without understanding your target's needs, it's like selling prescription glasses to someone who's blind.
At S&T Group, we don't just sell – we help people and businesses! We first take the time to understand the customer and address their needs. If our standard products or services aren't a perfect fit, we offer tailored solutions instead!

Tip 2: Be genuinely interested in your target audience!
Money should not be your only motivation! To better assist your buyer/target audience, you must also learn to listen to the customer. Ask the right questions, as not every buyer shares everything you need to know to help them. Remember, at S&T Group, we don’t just sell – we help our customers!
Train your questioning techniques: What? Where? When? Which? Why? Who? And how? Continuously test whether you fully understand the situation by asking questions and confirming there are no misunderstandings. But most importantly, you must LISTEN ATTENTIVELY!

Tip 3: Know your product/service!
To sell to people, they need to believe in you during the sales conversation. Make sure you're engaging, but most importantly, that you know your products inside out and truly believe in them. If you don’t believe that the products or services you’re selling are great and unique, why would your potential customer believe it?
Also, develop your empathy. When you can respond authentically to a customer, it's easier to build a connection and a strong relationship. Set your ego aside. It’s not about you; it’s about the customer. Remember, at S&T Group, our Sales Experts are here to help customers! Keep this in mind, and you’ll not only be more successful in acquiring customers but also in retaining them.
« If you genuinely believe in your product or services, you're not a salesperson – you're a storyteller. And who doesn't love listening to a great storyteller? » - Sila Azzouz.
Tip 4: Sell solutions, not just a product or service.
A good Sales Expert listens to their customers and provides solutions to potential problems. By knowing your product or service inside out, you can confidently identify which customers will benefit from it. Of course, not everyone has a problem, and sometimes you need to help your customers dream. Be a great storyteller who knows their products well and inspires your customers to dream!
« Dreams are the driving force behind every successful story and become reality only for those strong enough to believe in them. » - Sila Azzouz.
